PROJECT IMPLEMENTATION
The project is implemented at national level and in the districts of Amudat & Nabilatuk (Karamoja Region) and Pakwach & Nebbi (West Nile Sub- Region).
This intervention ensures an inclusive, rights-based approach that aligns with the Denmark-Uganda Strategic Framework 2023-2028 focusing on Programme for Accountability, Civic Engagement, and Rights (PACER). As well as NUDIPU’s Strategic Plan 2025 – 2029.
Key outputs
The project contributes to PACER Outputs of;
- Output 2.1: Access to information by the public on government programs and processes for enhanced participation & inclusion.
- Output 2.3: Youth, women and other marginalized groups empowered and organized to meaningfully shape outcomes of decision-making process.
- Output 2.4: Strengthened engagement between state and non- state actors on legal, policy and institutional frameworks to advance accountability, civic engagement and Human Rights.
The project aims at achieving 2 Outcomes; Outcome 1: Strengthened capacity of PWDs and their organizations to effectively advocate for their rights.
This is linked to the outputs of the Capacity of persons with disabilities and their organizations/associations built to advocate for their rights as well as Coordination and synergy among Persons with Disabilities and OPDs strengthened for disability rights in Uganda.
Outcome 2: Increased inclusion and responsiveness among state and non-state actors to the needs of persons with disability, which is linked to the outputs of ensuring Capacity building of state and non-state actors to inclusively address the needs of Persons with Disabilities built as well as fostering engagement between Persons with Disabilities and duty bearers facilitated.
Nudipu has organized a half day national level launch of the project for all stakeholders and consortium partners to highlight the project goal, objectives, outcomes and activities and how stakeholders will support it in achieving them.
And in a bid to popularize the project and give it visibility, the project shall be producing two pull up banners and print 2000 brochures that will be highlighting the goal, objectives, expected outcomes, areas/districts of operation, targeted beneficiaries, implementing partners and mention of the donors supporting the project.
