Persons with disabilities claim their rights and exert influence on matters that affect their lives
Brief Project background including achievements
Though councilors for Persons with Disabilities are required to represent the needs of Persons with Disabilities, their capacity to deliver on their mandate remains limited. This could be due to many factors including but not limited to induction about their roles and the means of participation in the Local Government process, limited facilitation for their participation in council meetings, among others.
NUDIPU is therefore implementing a program aimed at enhancing the capacity of councilors of Persons with Disabilities to deliver on their mandate.
