Aero Ketty
Aero Ketty is a female with physical disability in Uganda. Ketty has been a vice chairperson of the board of directors of the National Union of Disabled Persons of Uganda (NUDIPU) since 2019. She is a representative of northern Uganda on the board of directors of the Uganda National Action on Physical Disability (UNAPD). She is the chairperson of the Kotido disabled women association; is a district councilor representing persons with disabilities on the Kotido district local government since 2016 and serves as vice chairperson of the district union of persons with disabilities of Kotido. Ketty has a Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) a certificate in para-social work issued by the Kotido local government
Ketty is passionate about disability. She has worked to ensure that persons with disabilities get employed in the district through the district service commission. She has worked to advance the rights of women in her district by ensuring that accessible maternity beds are procured by the district in the health centers and she has worked to save several women with disabilities from gender based violence by linking them to GBV shelters in the region.
