A few highlights from the trainings of persons with disabilities in ICT skills and assistive technology done by National Union of Disabled Persons of Uganda – NUDIPU and Eight Tech Consults Limited in Bushenyi, Bukedea, Pader and Luwero.

In Bushenyi, we trained 21 participants on Accessibility features, Internet communication, Digital Observatory, assistive software like JAWS, and basic computer knowledge and skills.

In Bukedea, we trained 27 participants on understanding disabilities, introduction to digital devices and software operations, internet usage and cyber security.

In Pader we trained 47 participants about understanding disabilities, introduction to digital devices and software operations, using digital applications and mobile assistive technologies.

With support from Uganda Communications Commission we are set to train more participants in selected districts.
