NUDIPU & partners launch a project for nurturing children with disabilities in Terego District

NUDIPU in partnership with Humanity & Inclusion with support from “Belgique” held an inception meeting in Terego District for a new project called – Child Centred Holistic Approach to a Nurturing Care Enabling Environment (CHANCE).

Other partner organizations like the International Rescue Committee (IRC) and Rural Initiative Alliance for Development (RIAD) were part of this meeting as well to strengthen collaboration between NUDIPU and other partners.

NUDIPU Team led by the CEO Ms. Esther Kyozira and a board member Mr. Mwanagaike John accompanied by the District Union Chairperson Terego, declared that NUDIPU will work closely with the CHANCE project consortium members to ensure the project is successfully implemented in Terego with the main focus on children with disabilities from 0 to 12 years of age or those who are at risk of developmental delays.

The district leadership and the health workers in the camps were delighted by the CHANCE project consortium team for thinking about children with disabilities, especially in the refugee camp where little focus in terms of care and nurturing is directed to children with disabilities.
